Amazing views and cozy vibes

I stayed in a quadruple room with my fam and the views were just wow! Matterhorn right outside our window. Easy access to the slopes. That's good, but the place could use a few more charging ports. Breakfast was simple yet tasty, and the three-course dinners were always different and delish!

The hotel's location was incredible on the ski hill. The rooms were cozy and warm, had a shower and bath sheets in the bathroom...

Truly enjoyed the place, had an amazing stay on a road trip. We had the twin room and it was cosy and complete with a large bed and shared bathroom. The hotel's location was remote, down the mountain.

Shame the bathroom was very small.

Excellent hotel with great wi-fi, luggage storage, delicious meals, and helpful staff who once assisted me with my suitcases. I recommend enjoying the really good breakfast! I'm excited to return for Christmas!

great way to end our trip. fairly clean, good value hotel, its location was best possible and magnificent and really close to the mountain and gondola and the matterhorn and the glaciers. helpful staff throughout our stay. good sized room with large bed, central heating and a radio.

This was my second time in zermatt, and schwarzsee exceeded my expectations. The quadruple room was spacious, and the views of the matterhorn were amazing. We enjoyed a fantastic dinner every night and had great weather for our skiing adventures.

Staying here for 4 nights was amazing! The access to ski slopes was super convenient, and I loved the beautiful views of the Matterhorn, especially during sunrise. Dinner was a highlight, served with a great view of the village below. It was definitely a nice experience!

The amazing views of the Matterhorn from every corner of the hotel. I was mesmerized by the sunrise, illuminating the mountains, while being the very first one on freshly prepared slopes right outside my door.

Staying at Schwarzsee was dope! The views of the Matterhorn are straight-up fine, especially at sunrise. Great location for great hikes and skiing. Just a heads-up, make sure you catch the gondola before 4 PM or prepare for a trek! Loved my experience!

Access to the hotel can be a hassle. You must catch the last gondola by 4 PM, or you're facing a 2.5-hour hike. If you arrive late, services like dining may be limited, and the atmosphere can become restrictive, with areas closed off only, complicating your experience.

The mountain views from my room were very nice, especially when the sun rose over the Matterhorn. Breakfast options catered to different diets, including vegan choices, which I appreciated. Access to the hotel via the gondola can be tricky. Make sure to catch the last ride before 4 PM, or be prepared for a long hike. The dormitory where I stayed lacked sufficient electrical outlets. Although the staff were friendly, the check-in process felt a bit rushed. More flexibility with dining for non-guests would improve the experience as well.

Just a reliable pick for a weekend outing in Zermatt with extraordinarily good value for money. The dining room served excellent continental food. Make sure to arrive before the last gondola to avoid a long hike back.
